FAQs

Whether you are a new family researching CCS or a current family looking for more information, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions. If your question is not answered below, feel free to contact us at (520) 297-0922.

1. When does enrollment begin?

Current school year applications are accepted at any time through out the school year.

FOR 2017-2018

New Students are able to begin the pre-registration process December 15, 2016. Pre-registration is working through our first phase of application so that when open enrollment begins February 15 you will have first priority over open seats. For more information about pre-registration contact our Assistant Principal, Joshua Kempf at 520-878-1165.


Current students and their siblings begin priority reenrollment for the following school year on Feb. 1, 2017. Online reenrollment must be completed by March 1 , 2017 to ensure priority registration for current students. Please login to ParentsWeb to begin your re-enrollment process.


Beginning March 1, 2017 a late reenrollment fee of $50 per student will be charged to current families. This amount is a late fee and not taken off the total amount of tuition. If you are planning to reenroll, please try to complete the online reenrollment process prior to April 1st.

Open enrollment begins on February 15, 2017 until the limit of approximately 20 students per elementary class and 22 per middle school class are attained. After that, names are added on a first-come, first-served waiting list.


2. When will I receive classroom assignment information?

Information is mailed during the second half of July along with the teacher's welcome letter & supply list.


3. Where do your 8th grade students move on to for high school and what is the transition like for them?

Most of our students move on to a nearby Christian Academy, PRCA. The transition is a very easy one for our students, and we have never had an issue with our students testing into PRCA. In fact, some of our 8th grade students are even placed in accelerated classes when arriving! We have a great relationship with PRCA's high school program, and it's always been a smooth transition for our students into their freshman year!

The benefit of our students staying with CCS through 8th grade is that we're able to keep them in a middle school environment without exposing them to high school life early, including the social pressure that comes with the influences of being around high school age students. Our students are able to grow in confidence and self-esteem while being in a smaller, less pressured environment.

4. How does CCS compare to other schools academically?

CCS utilizes programs to evaluate the level your child is at specifically in math, reading, and language and creates a unique education experience for every student. Not only do our standards meet those of public and charter schools in the area, we exceed them! Most children entering CCS from other schools catch up quickly, and we make sure their transition is a smooth one.

Our students consistently test above their peers from other schools nationally in reading, math, and language...including charter schools in the area! 5. Do I have to be a member of Casas Church to send my child to Casas Christian School?

You do NOT need to be a member of Casas Church, or any area church to enroll your child at Casas Christian School. We are a church and school community that welcomes everyone with open arms. We currently have 38 churches from around Tucson represented at our school, so those who are interested in pursuing a church, we would love to give you some suggestions, but there is no requirement whatsoever for registration. 
 
 
   
6. Does CCS offer after school activities and how do we sign up?

Periodically throughout the year, after school activities such as art classes, science classes, music, or sports activities are offered. Class enrollment information is available on our After School Activities page. A flyer may be sent home with your child when available.

7. How do I enroll my child in Extended Care and how much does it cost?

All enrolled CCS students have access to Extended Care any time it is offered. Extended Care hours are 7:00-7:45am before school, and 3:10-6:00pm after school. Students who are not picked up within 10 minutes after the end of the school day are automatically escorted to Extended Care. The cost is $3.80 per hour, and we bill in 15 minute increments. Families will receive an hourly use charge on their billing statements.
