Before and After School Programs Offered at Casas Christian School

STUDENT ORCHESTRA

CCS offers students in third through eighth grade the opportunity to enroll in an orchestra and receive instruction in various string instruments. The student musicians perform two concerts each year.

AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS PROGRAM

CCS offers elementary students two sports programs:
Fun and Fitness (K-2) is a program which encourages students to participate in activities that develop coordination and gross motor skills.
Team Sports (3-5) is a program designed to teach skill development in specific sports.
There is an additional fee for participation in these programs.
CCS offers Middle School students the opportunity to compete in the Tucson Independent Athletic League (TIAL), a league that is comprised of private middle schools in Tucson.

EXTENDED CARE PROGRAM

CCS provides safe, supervised care for students whose parents request that they stay before school begins or after classes are dismissed. They may stay on a full-time or an "as needed" basis. We provide an opportunity for the children to socialize with their classmates. Weather permitting we provide playground activities. During inclement weather, we provide indoor activities (board games, coloring pages, movies, etc.). A daily afternoon snack is provided for each Extended Care child and the menu is posted in the School Office and Extended Care rooms.
Extended Care is only available to students who are enrolled in Casas Christian School. All school admissions paperwork must be completed and on file in order for your child to attend the Extended Care Program. This includes the application, blue emergency card, student health forms, and an after school activity form. If a student withdraws from CCS, they are also withdrawn from the Extended Care program.
Extended Care is available for Kingergarten-8th Grade on the days that CCS is in session (including half days). Service is not provided during school vacations.
HOURS OF OPERATION: 6:30 - 7:45 am and 2:30 - 6:00 pm
FEES
Extended Care fees are billed monthly with tuition. Parents are billed to the nearest    15-minute increment, i.e., a student dismissed from class at 3:00 pm and picked up at 4:10 pm will be billed for one hour and 15 minutes. No refunds are given for Extended Care services as it is billed on an actual use basis.

Please Note: Students who are dismissed at 2:30 pm, but have older siblings who are dismissed at 3:00 pm, are not charged for 30 minutes of Extended Care if they leave with their parent by 3:10 pm. If they are not picked up by 3:10 pm, Extended Care fees will be charged from 2:30 pm onward. Any students remaining on school grounds after dismissal (K-5, 2:30 pm, Grades 6-8, 3:00 pm) will be sent to Extended Care at 2:40 pm and 3:10 pm and charged from 2:30 and 3:00 pm, respectively.

The CCS Extended Care Program adheres to state day care laws and guidelines, and is accountable to the Arizona Department of Health Services, Child Licensure.
