VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Teachers and staff welcome parent and grandparent volunteers in the school because they know that children benefit academically, spiritually and socially when they see their parents involved in their school.  There are numerous ways that parents and grandparents can volunteer at CCS:

1.  Classroom volunteers - Teachers provide parents with numerous opportunities to participate in the classroom on a

     daily, weekly, or occasional basis.

2.  Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) - The PTF supports the students, parents, teachers, and administrators of the

     school by providing funds, activities, and fellowship opportunities to enrich the school community.  Each

     classroom has a parent who attends the PTF quarterly meetings and assists in volunteer recruitment for the

     various events.

3.  Principal Advisory Committee (PAC) - The PAC is composed of parent representatives from each class and

     provides input to the Principal on key issues facing the school.

4.  Parent Prayer Team - This group of parents and grandparents meet weekly to pray for students and their families,

     as well as teachers, staff and school needs.
